I was the driver this afternoon. I had to drive my mom to Laguna to pick my grandma up (my uncle went with us, too) then drove them to Asian Hospital (an hour away). My grandma had her cataract removed. I just dropped them in the hospital, then I headed to my favourite malls in the metro and spent my time looking at architecture/interior design books. I bought one book "Calling all Angels, 57 Ways to Invite an Angel into Your Life, by Joyce Keller. I thought it was neat and there was also something about mediation...cool. I was gonna buy a book on divination, just for fun--i don't really believe in the stuff, and it was 50% off, but when i found this one, I thought, even if it's a hundred pesos more expensive, it's definitely much more worth reading, and I also believe in angels. On my way home, i dropped by another mall to buy my dad a Chinese medicine for his cough. Everyone says Pei Pa Koa is effective so I hope it works on my dad. My dad made a funny remark: I sent you to medicine school and now what you give me is Chinese herbal medicine. Hehe. Well...it's still part of medicine, it falls under alternative medicine! I think alternative medicine is interesting. One day I'll study that, too, and even apply it in my practice.
