It's not that I don't like the jeep. I'm proud of it. It's a moving display of the creativity and artistry of Filipinos. I just don't like riding the jeep in the streets of Metro Manila. But that I have to deal with everyday, what with the rising price of gasoline! Here are the reasons why: I don't like Metro Manila air. It sticks to clothes and my hair, like cigarette smoke, so that even before I step into the hospital early in the morning, I stink already. Add to Stinky, Dirty Dust. Falling in line for a ride is good (we have discipline arfter all), but if you're last in line, you'd have to force your coccyx (if you know your spinal column, you know that's not at the bottom of your bottoms) in between your 2 seatmates to actually say you're seated. Watch out when this raging vehicle breaks--good luck, man! Three items. Not bad. Whoa! Not yet over. Just a couple of days ago my bag got slashed (and my bag hasn't even served up its years!). Argh! But on the bright side, my wallet, my PDA, and my stethoscope weren't stolen (most important and most expensive stuff inside). But what if they were stolen?! I know this wouldn't get my dad to buy me a car. But what the heck! I just want to rant. I still ride the jeep...every morning...well, almost.

Finally had the book I've been eyeing on Barnes and Noble.com, a book on starting a business. It's so cool. I'll have Mark read it soon, after I do, of course. If only studying for my board exams due next year could ignite this kind of excitement, and this interest. Honestly, reading it is making me guilty, so I'll buy a reviewer on Physiology, or Medicine, or Pharmacology soon. So I can read both at the same time. I'll read the reviewer first, then when I get sleepy, I'll turn to my bussiness book. I can't wait to be an entrepreneur. And get rich! Then there's the other book. The Story of Us. It's a journal that will soon start chronicling my and Mark's journey in love together. Can't wait to show it to him and start filling out the spaces. I'm so happy!
