Maudy Thursday. Way of the Cross and Visita Iglesia (we went to 9 Churches in the city).
Good Friday. Had Mass that included a very long gospel and the Veneration of the Cross.

I've avoided the tele since Thursday (Maudy Thurs) and this will go on until tomorrow (well I turned the tv on once or twice but that was just for a minute or two). What I'm doing though to fill up the afternoon, since I'm in bed most part of the morning, is read the book Marianne gave me last Christmas. I've read twenty chapters of The Bumps are what you climb on by Warren W. Wiersbe, (10 last Thurs, 10 today) the remaining ten I'll read tomorrow afternoon. I think it's a very good Christian book. The cover says its an "encouragement for difficult days", I say it's an ecouragement for every day. It's a very inspiring read, how could it not be? It brings you closer to God. It's about entrusting everything to God, about being brave, about faith, courage. It's about not giving up and looking at challenges as something to be taken advantage of because everything is part of God's plan...so that everything will come out good in the end (which doesn't necessarily mean in this lifetime, but after). It's about having Jesus Christ as a secure anchor. Just when I think I already know these stuff, I keep on discovering answers, learning new lessons. I guess that's the beauty of opening yourself up to the Lord, not just relying on your own understanding of the world, but having faith in Him, entrusting your life to Him, and making Him your Saviour.
