HAPPY BIRTHDAY ATE JOCELYN! Just something about this exceptional woman. She came to us when I was around a year old. She was hired as a help and she still is. But she has become more than that to us, not only to my family but to my relatives as well. People have been amazed at how long she has stayed with us, and they too have become familiar and friends with her. My friends and my siblings' friends also call her ate, the neighbour calls her ate, even our neighbour congressman's kids know her and are growing fond of her (& the other way around). The best thing about Ate Jocelyn is her huge heart. She is a very good woman. She has loved me and my siblings like we were her own and she continues to, inspite of all our flaws. She's a friend and a mother. If only I thought of it so much earlier, as in years earlier, I should've gotten her as my godmother for my confirmation. Oh well, we'll just have to wait for another opportunity, maybe on my wedding day or my kids' baptisms. (That is if I will get married and have family). My plans for the future includes taking care of her though, along with my parents.
I know she won't get to read this but here's a big cheers to her anyways. ***MABUHAY KA ATE!!!*** May she have more birthdays and may more people come to love her. And may she touch more lives.
